Privacy of Personal Information

eTick is subject to the Act respecting Access to documents held by public bodies and the Protection of personal information, chapter A-2.1. Personal information is defined in this law as any information that allows an individual to be identified, either directly or indirectly.

eTick is committed to providing websites that respect a visitor’s privacy. Websites do not gather personal information from you (that is, name, phone number or email address) unless you provide it voluntarily in an online form or email.

The Policy for the Protection of Personal Information Collected by Technological Means is intended to inform you of the practices adopted with respect to personal information transmitted through the eTick sites.

Privacy Officer

The protection of personal information is an important obligation for eTick. Given eTick is the intellectual property of Bishop’s University, the responsibility for protecting personal information and for access to information rests with Bishop’s University Secretary-General. The interim Secretary-General is Denise Lauzière, LL.B.

The Secretary-general is the University’s and eTick’s Privacy Officer as well as the person responsible for access under the Act. Questions and/or complaints about the use of personal information can be directed to secretary.general@ubishops.ca or denise.lauziere@ubishops.ca.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a very small text document stored on your computer or other device (and maintained by your browser) when you visit a website. It often includes a randomized unique identifier so that a website can “recognize” this cookie again on your next visit. Cookies allow the functioning of websites, improve browsing, or provide certain information to website owners, particularly in terms of audience measurement.

Cookies do not cause any damage to your device, but they facilitate, for example, finding preferences, pre-filling certain fields or adapting the content of the services on the visited site. Such data allow us to improve the ergonomics of our site and our services according to your interests.

We use cookies and similar technologies to help operate and improve your experience on our sites, monitor our sites performance, and assist in our marketing efforts. For a complete list of the cookies our site uses and their respective expiry dates, please refer to the tables below.
